Paper palm leaves
DIFFICULTY

TIME REQUIRED

This DIY is very exotic looking. Simple and quick to do, it will adorn your home in an elegant way, but always with a TA-DAAN touch…which means totally handmade by you!
Are you ready? Let’s start!
WHAT YOU NEED

MATERIALS
wrapping paper (plain or printed/colored) the palm leaves pattern (available for free download below) wooden sticks (for the stem)
TOOLS
scissors pencil transparent tape printer a cool vase to place them into!
Let’s get started
STEP 1
Print the pattern, stick together the paper sheets and cut along the lines. Now your pattern is ready to be transferred onto the wrapping paper.
STEP 2
Place the pattern on the wrapping paper and trace the leaf shape. Once you have traced it, cut it out.

STEP 3
Fold the sheet in half. Start folding the paper on itself trying to keep the same width, which of course is to your liking, to create a symmetrical and harmonious leaf.

STEP 4
Place a wooden stick in the bottom-center of the leaf and push the bottom edges of the sheet to close your leaf around the wooden stick. Once done that, secure it with transparent tape and cover the tape wrapping around a small piece of paper.

AND THAT’S IT!
So… Get yourself a nice vase to place your handmade palm leaves in, and add a cool jungle touch to your home!
