TA-DAAN SELECTION
Advice for creative women
Female artisans from our community share their creative advice
Craftsmanship is a limitless art form that defies boundaries and constantly evolves. It inspires us to think outside the box, find innovative ways to communicate with each other and express ourselves through different materials. In order to learn more about this topic, TA-DAAN has decided to interview fearless artists, designers, and creators who push the boundaries of traditional craftsmanship into a modernized world, no matter the challenges. Read below to discover their advice for creative people!
This initiative led us to talk to four creatives that belong to our community, Rosella Soravia (Lalam), Fernanda Uribe, Moriah Hixson (Reys Glass), and Astrid Luglio. They were asked questions regarding creativity, craftsmanship, advice for creative women in the industry, and to select five products they liked from our shop.
Curious about what they shared with us? Don’t worry, keep reading and you’ll discover the secrets!

“We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.”
— Anais Nin

Advice for creative women:
Honestly? To show up every day for yourself and for your work. Sometimes, there may be days where you don’t have creativity and that’s okay. (…) Most importantly, do what makes you happy.
— Fernanda Uribe

Advice for creative women:
I think doing creative things is very calming and very connecting, and gives you a chance to connect with your mind and with your soul.
— Rosella Soravia
“I’ve been absolutely terrified every moment of my life and I’ve never let it keep me from a single thing that I wanted to do.”
— Georgia O’Keeffe

Advice for creative women:
Do whatever you want! It’s very basic, very clearly cliché.
— Moriah Hixson

Advice for creative women:
An advice that comes to my mind is that you have to learn to be more and more open and flexible to new methodologies that could help you in your single practice.
— Astrid Luglio
